Two drivers picked up their first A Feature victories of the season at the Beatrice Speedway Friday night, while three other drivers added to their main-event-win totals.

Robby Marsh of Belvidere won the IMCA Hobby Stock feature, his first of 2009 in Beatrice, while Mike Simpson of Ashland earned his first IMCA Sport Compact win of the season at the local track.

Marsh won his race, taking the checkered flag ahead of Murray Haugen II of Deshler. Roy Armstrong of Beatrice was third and Nathan Meyer of Ohiowa was fourth.

In the Sport Compact feature, Simpson won with Matt Fralin of Blue Springs finishing second, Brock McDougall of DeWitt third and Nick Lindblad of Beatrice fourth.

In the IMCA Modified division, Beatrice driver Jordan Grabouski won his second feature of the season locally.

Grabouski crossed the finish line ahead of Dan Nelson of Beatrice, Roger Haden of Waterloo and Lance Borgman of Beatrice. Nelson, Haden and Borgman finished second, third and fourth, respectively.

Beatrice driver Benji Legg picked up his second consecutive A main win in the IMCA Sport Mod division. Legg won his first feature of the season last Friday night.

Ron Karpisek of Wilber was second behind Legg, while Tyler Frye of Belleville, Kan., was third and Chad Borgman of Beatrice was fourth.

In the Factory Stock division, Mark Busboom of Beatrice picked up his third win for 2009.

Busboom took the checkered flag ahead of Jed Williams of Deshler, who finished second. Jeff Watts of Beatrice was third and Hugh Carmichael of Blue Springs was fourth.

More than 130 cars competed for top honors in the five divisions Friday night at the local race track.
