Police investigate church theft

Thousands of dollars of electronic equipment was stolen from Christ Community Church last week.

Christ Community Church, located at 2727 Lincoln St., was broken into sometime between 10 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11. and suspects took a small amount of cash and thousands of dollars in electronic equipment, according to the Beatrice Police Department.

The suspects gained entrance into the church by breaking a window and once inside broke into three locked offices, causing damage to the doors. Items they took included laptop computers, a Sony video camera, an IPOD Classic and a Mitsubishi projector, police reported.

The burglary remains under investigation. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the police department at 223-4080 or Crimestoppers at 228-4343.
