Two Beatrice men were arrested Saturday night after witnesses saw them take several items from a Beatrice residence.

Jimmy Haynes, 20, and William Rainy, 20, were arrested and taken to the Gage County Detention Center for burglary and criminal mischief after they were spotted breaking into and removing several items from a residence at 212 S. 20th St. Saturday night, according to the Beatrice Police Department.

Witnesses obtained the license plate number of the vehicle used in the crime after they observed both Haynes and Rainy removing items, including clothing and electronics, from the residence, police reported.

Police also arrested Christy Nickell, 18, of Beatrice for accessory to a felony and possession of stolen property and Megan Willey, 18, of Beatrice for accessory to a felony in connection to the burglary.

All items taken from the residence were recovered.

That's AWESOME!!! 20, 20, 18, and 18-Great start to the rest of your life. But let's face it, none of them will be sentenced to any time. At the most, "Intense Supervised Probation". Which means all the beer and pot you can handle...just like any other day in the life of a loser.

I saw these fools steal a yard decoration from my elderly neighbor that night. If it is the same kids, they were driving a white suv, a jimmy or blazer or something. I yelled at them and they ran to the vehicle and jetted before i could even think about looking at the plates. If this was them Im glad they got caught.
Good Luck

Go get those criminals, thieves are the worst and hopefully more will get caught. If they have to steal for money, get a job. If they can't find one here - move. I hope that these were connected to the break-ins around Beatrice.

If one checks public record, one of these individuals was sentenced to jail a few months back for a similar crime. Check the facts before commenting.

Oh come on

To Megan, so you were with them but not doing the crime, that is very hard to believe. What did you think they were doing when they break into a place and then come out of the house with several items. If that was me I would say wow this is not right, you guys a stealing from people and you think this is ok. WELL GUESS WHAT MEGAN YOU WERE THERE AND AS FAR AS I CAN SEE IT YOU ARE GUILTY AND A THIEF AS WELL AS THE OTHER 3. How would you like it if somebody broke in your house and stole from you, I bet you would want them to be prosecuted.

Stealing is so wrong and I just don't understand how people can do it and not think twice about. Just keep doing it over and over. Just because you all got caught I'm sure it will keep happening over and over until the next time you all get caught again. Then maybe you will stop for awhile.

The way I see it once a theif always a theif, just like once a liar always a liar. Megan all I can say is boy I hope your happy with yourself and just because your 18 if I was your parent, well I won't go there, because I don't raise theives. Good luck to you hope you can forgive yourself because I bet the people you stole from don't forgive. I sure would not be able to.

The intentions on going to the house was discussed ahead of time. So Megan, you should have had some clue as to what was going on, even at that, if you didnt, when you saw them bringing stuff out of the house and knew what was going on -was wrong, then you could have just got out of the vehicle and left before waiting to get cought. As far as I am concerned, you all got what you deserved. I understand at times you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time but you made the choice to stay, so therfore you had to suffer the consequeses with the theifs/criminals. Who you hang out with says a lot about who you are. That goes for everyone of you. As far as getting a job, sounds like you guys are bored and need to get a job, make money and live a life, instead of depending on the rest of us to feed your needs, when we work hard to pay for the theings we want and need. There are plenty of jobs out there, suck it up and start at the bottom like we all had to. Life is not easy nor will it ever be but you all need to grow up and start acting like adults now and make better decisions. Its no-one-else's fault but your own (All of you)!!!!!!!!

Megan's comment just goes to show how incompetent these criminals are...

Megan, did you actually expect us to read your comment and think "Aww, what a heartwarming story. I feel bad for them. Let's just let them go, I think they learned their lesson."

Stop judging? We don't know what happened that night? Um, yeah, I think we DO know what happened that night. You were all taking part in a crime that involves STEALING from innocent people. You can't sugarcoat that, sweetheart.

Here's a piece of advice: just shut up. You'll look a lot smarter.

Megan very well may have not known what was going on. I had a friend who lived with a thief in college and when he was caught and they searched the house everyone assumed everyone in the house knew what was going on. They didn't, they were too busy working and going to school to be concerened with what each other was doing - they just shared rent on a place to flop.

Anyone ever ask to borrow your truck? If so did you check the whole story out before hand, or just loan a friend your truck?

Ever pick a friend up when they called and needed a ride? If so did you ask about or search any packages, backpacks, etc. they were carrying?

There are many way to involuntarily get involved in a crime and I'm willing to give Megan the benefit of the doubt because I really don't know the story. I'm content to let law enforcement sort it all out. If she truly knew nothing about it, had no criinal intent, and was just involved by unscrupulous friends then I hope she is let go (and has learned a lesson and is getting better friends!), if not then I hope she gets what she deserves, but till we know the story let's just hold off judgement.
thank u

Living in the same place is one thing, being in the same car as items are being loaded in is quite another.
Yes it happens

So you've never picked a friend up and they had packages with them? If so did you give them the third degree, ask for receipts, etc.???

Like I said, it happens. If they were truly unaware of what was going on I hope they are given the benefit of the doubt.

If they knew what was going on though, then throw the book at them!

We just don't know the story so we shouldn't form judgements until we do - it's just that simple.
Think about it
Oct 7, 2008 6:15 PM
Items removed included cothing and electronics. OK, if you picked someone up and they had a jacket and an ipod, psp, etc. would you give them the third degree wanting to know where they got them at?

It could happen easily, think about it.
