Sentencing for Richard Griswold, who was found guilty in May of second-degree murder of a woman in her Beatrice home, has been scheduled for later this month.
District Judge Paul Korslund set sentencing for July 28 for Griswold, 43, of Beatrice. He was found guilty in May of second-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony for the Nov. 17, 2007, shooting death of 49-year-old Connie Eacret.
Sentencing for Griswold had originally been set for July 2, but was postponed for a pre-sentencing investigation.
Griswold could be sentenced to 20 years to life for the second-degree murder charge and one to 50 years for use of a weapon to commit a felony. The sentences would run consecutively.
Media cameras were allowed at the trial as part of a pilot project that could lead to more video and still images of court proceedings across the state.
