Beatrice Hoops to hold marathon

The annual 24-hour Beatrice Hoops Basketball Marathon will be held Friday, July 25, and Saturday, July 26.

Basketball players can play anytime between noon Friday through noon Saturday.

Hard-core hoops enthusiasts can play throughout out the night.

Teams can signup to play the entire 24 hours of the marathon or individuals and groups can play anytime on the outdoor courts at Beatrice High School.

At 9 p.m. Friday there will be a Beatrice High School fathers vs. sons game and, at 10 p.m., there will be a fathers and sons vs. coaches game.

Registration fee is $20 with proceeds going to the Beatrice Hoops program.

Preregistration will be open through July 20 with walk-ups accepted anytime during the marathon.
