Wilber-Clatonia’s Hasenohr set to challenge in sprints

OMAHA - Wilber-Clationa’s Cami Hasenohr picked up where she left off last year at the Class C Nebraska State Track and Field Championships by having success on the track Friday in Omaha.

Hasenhohr, a state champion last year, put herself in position Friday to win two more state individual state titles.

Hasenohr qualified for the finals in both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash.

In the 100 meters, she won her heat with a time of 12.55, while she also won her heat in the 200 meters with a time of 26.25.

DeWitt Tri County’s Austin Zimmerman qualified for the finals in the 300-meter hurdles, finishing third in his heat in 40.67.

Sunland athletes failing to place or qualify for Saturday’s finals include:

Wilber-Clatonia’s Kyra Jiskra, who failed to place in the discus with a best effort of 108-4.

Wilber-Clatonia’s Taylor Riechers, who failed to place in the discus with a best effort of 110-3.

Wilber-Clatonia’s Ariana Munor, who failed to place in the long jump with a best effort of 15-1 1/2.

Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer’s Kris Mayer, who failed to place in the pole vault with a best effort of 12-6.

HTRS’ Aric Schnacker, who failed to place in the pole vault missing opening height.

HTRS’ Paige Schmid, who failed to qualify in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing eighth in her heat in 17.12, and who failed to qualify in the 300 hurdles, finishing sixth in her heat in 50.07.

HTRS’ Kali Schnacker, who failed to place in the long jump with a best effort of 15-6 1/2 and who failed to qualify in the 400-meter dash, finishing in eighth in her heat in 1:03.91.

Tecumseh-Johnson County Central’s Kate Wellensiek, who failed to place in the discus with a best effort ogf 103-8.

Tri County’s Jesse Koenigh, who failed to place in the triple jump with a best effort of 42-9.

Tri County’s Zimmerman, who failed to qualify in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing third in his heat in 15.54.

Tri County’s 3200-meter relay team of Matt Collins, Felix Harder, Talon Matzner and Chris Riesen, who failed to place with a time of 8:37.70.

Tri County’s Sammi Garrison, who failed to qualify in the 200-meter dash, finishing seventh in her heat in 27.85.

Tri County’s Elizabeth Timberlake, who did not place in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:44.90.

Wilber-Clatonia’s Jason Mammen, who did not qualify in the 400-meter dash, finishing seventh in his heat in 52.71.

Wilber-Clatonia’s Clint Watson, who failed to place in the high jump with a best effort of 6-2.
