Roma G. Meyer, 69, Silver Creek, Nebraska, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Brush, Colo. She was born June 12, 1938, in Jefferson County, Nebraska, to Stanley and Isla Irene (Caldwell).

She graduated from Fairbury High School and Midland College in Fremont. She taught school the first 4 years out of high school. She married Lawrence D. Meyer on August 25, 1959, in Helvey, Nebraska. She lived in Cedar Bluffs one year, where she taught elementary music and kindergarten. They moved to Silver Creek in the fall of 1960, where she taught elementary school. She also taught at Riverside Country School for 8 years. Roma was a member of the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek. She liked to play piano, sing, and enjoyed camping, traveling and square dancing.

Survivors: husband, Lawrence D. Meyer of Silver Creek, Neb.; sons, Kelly (Brenda) Meyer of Beatrice, Neb., Darin (Rhonda) Meyer of Columbus, Neb., Bobby Meyer of Grand Island, Neb., six grandchildren; sister, Susie Corning of Aurora, Colo. She was preceded by father, Stanley Sukovaty; mother, Isla Irene Sukovaty; grandson, Jack Lawrence Meyer; and two brothers.

Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, United Methodist Church, Silver Creek, Neb., the Rev. Tamara Holtz officiating. Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Graveside service: 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County, Nebraska.
