YORK - Humboldt Table Rock Steinuaer’s Titans qualified for the Class C State golf tournament as a team Monday, finishing second in the C-1 District at the York Country Club.
Lincoln Lutheran won the team championship by one stroke over the Titans, 365-366.
Both teams, along with third-place Superior, qualify for state tournament action.
Individually, Calvin Freeman earned medalist honors for the Titans with a 79.
HTRS had two other district medal winners — Marshall Joy finished fifth with an 87, while Derek Vrtiska tied for 10th with a 91.
Also golfing for the Titans were Cody Tasler with a 109 and Kenny Edwards with a 119.
Wymore Southern finished tied for eighth in the final team standings with a 427, while Tecumseh-Johnson County Central was 15th with a 478.
Neither Southern nor Johnson County had any individual state qualifiers.
The Class C State golf tournament will be held May 20-21 at Kearney Country Club in Kearney.
