A wind advisory has been issued for the Sunland area until Sunday morning, the National Weather Service reported.
Strong northwest winds with gusts as high as 50 mph are forecast to begin late Saturday night. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible along and south of the Interstate 80 corridor.
The wind advisory is effective until 4 a.m. Sunday for most of the Sunland area, although it is in effect until 7 a.m. Sunday for Marshall County, Kan.
