Marjorie Ann Weber

Marjorie Ann Weber, age 73 years, of Wymore, died Wednesday morning, May 7, 2008, at her home. She was born March 15, 1935, at Odell, spent her childhood near Diller, and was a 1952 graduate of Diller High School, where she also received her normal training.

She had been employed with Lincoln Telephone Co. and Woolworth’s, both in Beatrice. Marjorie married Calvin Weber on Jan. 15, 1956, at the Diller Methodist Church. They farmed in the Wymore area most of their married life before moving into Wymore in 1997. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of the church. She was also a member of the former W.M.B. Club, Anderson Unit 25 of the American Legion Auxiliary, both at Wymore; and took part in the Wymore Senior Diners. Her hobbies included playing cards and Bingo, gardening and flowers, attending her family’s sporting activities and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Calvin; by four children, Gregory Weber of Blue Springs, Glennis McClure and her husband Ed of Blue Springs, Rod Weber and his wife Tracy of Weeping Water, and Rick Weber and his wife Laura of Pierre, S. D.; by a daughter-in-law, Shari Weber of Wymore; by 13 grandchildren, Matt Weber and his wife Jodi, Chris and Jay Weber, Leah and Philip McClure, Mauriah Kickhaefer and her husband Jonathan, Miles, Zach and Peyton Weber, and Garrett, Vance, Emily and Jessica Weber; by three great-grandsons, Nolan, Easton and Elijah Weber; by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike Morris of Beatrice, Lester Weber of Hastings, LaVerna Klein and her husband Albert, Orville Weber and his wife MaryLee, Marjorie VanEngen and her husband Wayne, and Arthur Weber and his wife Janet, all of Adams, Dale Weber and his wife Sharon of Lincoln, Merlyn Weber of Wymore, and Wauneta Weber of Beatrice; and by many nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, E. Allen and Clara (Bugbee) Folkers; by a sister, Betty Morris; by an infant brother, Bobby Folkers; and a brother, Allen Wray Folkers.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 10th and E streets, Wymore, Pastor Tyler Hauptmeier officiating. Burial will be at the Wymore Cemetery. There will be a family prayer service at 9:45 a.m. Saturday in the parish hall of the church. Visitation will be at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, 505 N. Ninth St., Wymore, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with the family receiving friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and then at the church one hour preceding the service. Memorials to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and Pre-School or to the family’s choice with Lois Milburn in charge. Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, Wymore, is in charge of arrangements.
