Gage County authorities are planning to dive in a number of lakes in the county over the next few days in an effort to locate a rural Filley woman who has been missing for the past three weeks.

Gage County Attorney Randall Ritnour said Monday afternoon the plan did not come as the result of any leads, but was part of the overall search process for 36-year-old Ann Marie Kelley, who was reported missing on April 15.

“We don’t have any leads to indicate she would be in a lake, but we thought it would be prudent to check,” Ritnour said.

He also said county officials had already notified Kelley’s family.

“We’re just being careful,” he said.

For now, he said authorities were only going to check Gage County lakes, but the search could be widened later.

Kelley is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing about 125 to 130 pounds, with blue eyes and auburn/red/brown hair. Her husband, William Jr., reported her missing about 6:40 p.m. April 15, while a relative of Kelley reported seeing her at the SunMart supermarket in Beatrice about 8:25 a.m. that day.

No one has reported seeing her since that day, and Ritnour said Kelley has apparently made no attempt to contact relatives or friends since her disappearance.
