Alexandria Kids Fishing Clinic set

ALEXANDRIA - A Kids Free Fishing Clinic and Family Day will be held May 17 at Alexandria State Lakes Recreation Area.

The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. with door prize drawings slated for 3 p.m.

There will be a free hot dog cookout over the lunch hour.

The event is hosted by the Road Runners Sam Camping Club.

This is the eighth year for the event.

Over the last four years, there have been more than 200 participants.

Poles and bait will be provided for those without.

Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish and biggest bluegill.
