A 15-year-old male was treated for hypothermia at Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center before being taken to BryanLGH West in Lincoln Monday afternoon after being pulled from the Big Blue River in Blue Springs in an apparent suicide attempt.

A Gage County sheriff’s deputy, along with the Wymore police chief and a Wymore Rescue worker, pulled the boy from the Big Blue River around 4 p.m. Monday after he jumped from the Big Blue River Bridge in Blue Springs in an apparent attempt to commit suicide, according to the Gage County Sheriff’s Office.

The boy had been reported to officials after he threatened to harm himself.

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Wymore Police Department, Wymore Fire and Rescue, Blue Springs Fire and Beatrice Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.

I do not know hwere you got your information on the boy in Blue Springs but you need to check your info. 1 the boy did not jump off the bridge and 2 he was not trying to commit suicide. I think if you are going to report the news you could at least get the facts right.
reliable source?

I am in agreement with "a reader". Just because they say they got their information from the authorities, doesn't alway mean that they are correct. Maybe "a reader" knows a little bit more of the realy infomation then you think. Maybe they are family, or was there when this whole things was going on. The truth of the matter is, that he was in the water, and people risked thier lives to go in after him, to help him, to save him. For that, Wymore Rescue, and all that were involved are thanked. My suggestion would be to stop yelling at other readers, just because you don't agree with them.

Don't really see any other reason for a kid to be in the water at this time of year. Not much hand fishing going on and I haven't heard of anyone swimming in the river when the water is 30 degrees. They usually don't release information if it's not accurate.
