As part of the “Tuesday Night with the Library” summer series, Judy Andrews will present the program "The Real Story of the Pilgrims" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, in the Price Room at the Beatrice Public Library.
Andrews is a librarian from Omaha and works at the Children's Museum. For many years, her aunt was one of the living history guides at Plymouth Plantation.
She will talk about commonly held beliefs about the Pilgrims that are more legend than truth and will dress a volunteer from the audience in an authentic Pilgrim outfit.
For more information about this program, contact the library at 223-3584.

Hello. I am also a victim of domestic violence. I got away, finally, after 17 years. I haven't had to endure such abuse since 1992 but the memories and the post trauma are very difficult. I still deal with it sometimes. I am 47 now. I have an Associates of Science Degree in Human Services and one of my passions is to work with women who have been abused. I believe that I could be of great help to them as well as myself. I would be willing to volunteer my time to these women. Thank you. Ellen Scott
