Noted historian, genealogist to speak at genealogy symposium in July

David E. Rencher, a noted historian, genealogist and author from Salt Lake City, Utah, has agreed to present the keynote address at the fourth Land Records and Genealogy Symposium in Beatrice this summer.

The symposium, co-sponsored by Southeast Community College-Beatrice Campus and Homestead National Monument of America, will take place Friday and Saturday, July 13-14, at the Truman Center facility on the Beatrice campus of SCC.

His address will be titled “Genealogy in the Information Age and the Impact of New Tools.” He will speak after lunch on the event's first day.
