The producers of American Idol are traveling around the country to find a different kind of television star - farmers.
“The Farmer Wants a Wife,” based on the hit overseas TV show, matches a spirited farmer, who doesn't have much time to meet women, with a handful of available women from all walks of life who dream of living a traditional, small town lifestyle.
The producers will be traveling throughout the United States in the coming weeks to find young, attractive male farmers who fit the bill. The producers are looking for farmers in their mid-20s and 30s who are single, hard-working, fun-loving, family-oriented and who love the traditional, small-town way of life, and looking to meet the right girl.
A casting call has been scheduled in Lincoln from noon- 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Uncle Ron's Wild West Saloon, 340 Cornhusker Highway.
