SPC Darren D. Howe

Death SPC Darren D. Howe, 21, Beatrice, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, from injuries he sustained in Iraq. He was born March 20, 1984, at Beatrice, and attended Cedar Elementary and Beatrice Middle School. He graduated from Beatrice High School in 2003, where he had participated in choir. He was married to Nakia Pearson on May 30, 2003, in Plymouth. He joined the U.S. Army Reserves in September 2001 and served with the Third Infantry Division of the Third Brigade which was stationed in Iraq. He was a member of the Homestead Baptist Church of Beatrice, and enjoyed spending time with his children, working on vehicles and running.
